Quote 10 Apr 48 notes
Slang, too, is the wholesome fermentation or eructation of those processes eternally active in language, by which froth and specks are thrown up—mostly to pass away, though occasionally to settle and permanently crystallize.

Text 5 Apr 34 notes Stereographic “3D” GIF Illustrations

kuvva:

A few weeks ago, Boooooom tweeted a question about who the maker was of this piece of work and little research has shown that mister Dain Fagerholm was the one to be held responsible for. Dain Fagerholm is an artist based out in Seattle, USA that created these series of stereographic illustration GIFs to give you the illusion that these are 3D images. We have selected some images that we like, but you can find an extensive collection of his moving images on his blog

Link 13 Feb 2 notes Thomas Friedman Indirectly Calls for Americans Elect»

americanselect:

Alright, the words Americans Elect are never mentioned and sure about 4 paragraphs into the article he says a third party run is a long-shot, but the very essence of Friedman’s argument is that this country needs something different to change the political conversation.

Too many radical and well-funded minority advocate groups are polarizing the Republican Party. The reason the two party system has failed this decade is because there is no longer 2 coherent parties. There is one party united under President Obama (who knows where the Democrats go once he is out of office) and the other party is fractured into dozens of one-issue minorities not interested in the advancement of a whole nation.

Where does this leave our free and fair elections? It leaves us at the mercy of whoever has the most money and whoever slings the most mud. Without unity and concession of ideals under the 2 party system, we may as well have a no party system.

Americans Elect is the right organization to “restore” the grown-up debates that sustained the two-party system for so long.
